Tambour Track components for the DIY Cabinet maker who wants an option to plastic. I like to reduce “set up” time in the shop and I don’t like plastic parts in a wood cabinet. Plastic will never last as long as milled wood parts and I think they make a great wood cabinet look cheap. Making the track 90 degree transitions is time consuming and exacting and that is the reason for plastic parts. What I am offering is a set of components that make the 90 degree transition and also spool the door in the up position. These parts are CNC cut cabinet grade plywood and they are fastened (glued & screwed) into place to meet with your own routed straight track. The set comes with two Transitions Blocks and two Spooler Plates. The edges of the Spooler Plates are straight and can be used as an anchoring flange for an enclosed Spooler to prevent cabinet contents from jamming the door as it rolls up. Purchasing 4 Transition Blocks and eliminating the Spooler can allow the door to make two 90 degree transitions and drop the door straight down the cabinet back. I love options and wood! I really love Tambour door in the shop because they keep the cabinet contents cleaner. With these parts you can do a Tambour Door system yourself and it will stain or paint as well as any other part of the cabinet.
